Exhibit Information

There is no fee to exhibit, but the artist must cover shipping costs if they live outside of the Chicago area, or deliver the work and install if they live in metropolitan Chicago. The artist must also provide any special equipment.  Insurance is the responsibility of the artist.

Art On Armitage does not sell work and takes no commission; all sales inquiries will be forwarded to the artist.

Children as well as adults pass by, so I will not be exhibiting overtly sexual or violent images, or explicit nudity.

The Exhibit Space

The space is 27 inches deep, 15 feet wide, and 10 feet high. The wall is 8 feet 5 inches high. There is a 2”x2” wood mounting strip along the window ledge at 8 feet in height. Heavy items cannot be suspended.

Studs are 12 inches apart in the main wall. The east 3 feet of the wall opens back into the storefront for access (you can see a faint line in the left 1/3 of the photo.) Things can be hung on this opening, but they should not exceed 20 lbs. A wall mounted piece can span the opening. The window gets north light all day and is well lit with track lighting and street lights at night. The window gets a small amount of late evening light in the summer.

There is a 120v outlet on the floor of the window space, near the east wall. The east wall is wood wainscoting painted white. The floor is carpeted in gray industrial weight carpeting.
